Stone Creek Zen Center is a Buddhist practice center in the Soto Zen tradition. It is dedicated to the Dharma teachings of awakening to reality and living compassionately in this impermanent, interdependent world. The core activity at the center is zazen – meditation – wholehearted sitting here and now, being present in the fullness of reality.
We are located in West Sonoma County at 2999 Bowen Street, Graton, California.
THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 4:
10:00am Zazen (meditation)
10:30am Dharma Entrustment Ceremony
In person and online
EARLY SUNDAY MORNING PROGRAM AND BREAKFAST
Starting this Sunday, Stone Creek will restore its Sunday morning program to its full length. We begin at 8:00 with thirty minutes of zazen; after sitting, we have an informal breakfast with conversation for forty minutes; then we break into smaller groups and give the building a quick cleaning. This is good time to come if you’re looking for more intimate ways to practice at Stone Creek.
DHARMA ENTRUSTMENT FOR EDMEE DANAN
This week Stone Creek will hold a Dharma Entrustment ceremony for Edmée Danan, confirming her as a lay Zen teacher qualified to share and teach the Dharma and to lead sesshins and other practice activities at Stone Creek and elsewhere. At the heart of the ceremony, everyone attending is invited to ask Edmée a Dharma question. All are welcome to participate. Reception to follow.
